HX Stomp Passion v2 / Cartographer+Litigator - Preset Inspired by the Guitar Tones of Passion
Updated for Helix firmware 2.82
I designed this stereo Cartographer + Litigator amp setup to recreate the tones from recent Passion records. It also works great for the general P&W sound. It has two amps in stereo, a dual cab block, a delay, and a reverb. The DSP is maxed out so if you want to add an fx loop just delete the delay on path 1A for example.
This preset is meant to be used with other pedals. You can run everything into the front, or run your wet effects in the Stomp’s FX loop after the amps if you wish (this is my recommended setup). If you’re running everything into the front, I would not recommend using the amp drive switch because then you’ll be running reverb into the front of a cranked amp, which probably won’t sound great.
Footswitches:
Amp Drive up/down
Reverb mix/decay up/down
unassigned
dotted 8th delay on/off
clean boost (post-amp)
Important note for users running mono: In order to widen the stereo spread, this preset has a 100% mix delay before the amp on path 1B. If you run mono with your Helix, you will need to bypass or delete this block or you will experience some phasing issues when the amps are summed to mono at the output.
